Happppppppy Friday everyone!!!!!
I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but this week has felt like 3 weeks crammed into one. It's been a great, creative and busy week, but when I woke up on Tuesday and thought it was Thursday... that was rough. So looking forward to curling up and relaxing with a few good books this weekend! Must.step.away.from.my.computer.
Do you guys remember the Kickstarter campaign I mentioned last week? Welllllllllll, it went live on Monday! Woo hoo! I'll post something more detailed next week, but in the meantime, here's a little bit about it. The guys at Cardboard Helicopter launched their Kickstater campaign to raise funds for the Splash Infuser, a device that instantly infuses water (and booze). It really works, it's going to be made in the USA, it's affordable, and the branding isn't too shabby... ;) there's nothing not to love about it, in my humble opinion. I'm so excited and really proud of everyone for pulling this off. Now it's up to friends, family, health enthusiasts, and patriotic folks (hellooo, made in America!) to spread the word and continue raising funds so that they reach $15K (or more!) and are able to manufacture the product.
A few other fun things to inspire you this weekend...
Craft // This before & after of simple IKEA lamps is pretty amazing. A little patience and TLC will go a long way. Have a few lamps that need refreshing? Check this out.
Cook // Throw yourself into the "fall" spirit and make this Butternut Squash Carbonara with Fried Sage and Caramelized Onions. #drooling
Shop // Since fall is all about layering, getting cozy, and being comfortable (because comfort food tends to stretch the waistline a bit...), check out Lou & Grey's fall line. Lou & Grey is a line carried by LOFT and is full of dreamy, cuddly, stretchy-yet-chic pieces.
Read // If you like the TV show "Girls", then you will be happy to know that Lena Dunham just released her first book, "Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's 'Learned'". Every female in Hollywood seems to be reading it, and while that doesn't equate to resounding praise, it does intrigue me enough to want to read it. That said, I'm really behind on my reading list... I plan to read Gone Girl (finally!) this weekend, and I just finished Wild. I don't really love the fact that I'm reading based on movies coming out, so if you have any great books that you just finished, please share!
Dream // I know I'm getting ahead of myself by mentioning summer; after all, we just said our goodbyes. This roundup of 15 modern summer Airbnb rentals will have you mentally booking Summer Vacay 2015, or at least dreaming of a lazy vacation spent in the most gorgeous of settings. Living amongst the trees in Thailand? A water tower in London? Gazing at the water in Brazil? You may never want to come home.
Have a happy weekend!
