I love a good before & after. I also love when spray painting season begins. All winter I've stared longingly at furniture and odds and ends around my house that I've been desperate to spray paint. Given my impatient nature, it's made for a longggg winter. The snow has melted, and my backyard is ready and raring to be spray painting central at the Hayes household!
This past weekend, I dug an old lamp out of our office and gave it a new, shiny life with the help of some white lacquer and gold metallic spray paint. This lamp from Lulu & Georgia was my inspiration...
I've been eyeing this beauty for a while now, but it gives me serious sticker shock... $198 for a lamp? No. That is nuts.
Thankfully, I already had a lamp that looks similar. After a few coats of white spray paint, some meticulous taping, and a few coats of gold spray paint... I now have my Lulu & Georgia knock-off!
Since the weather was so beautiful this weekend, I got spray paint happy and also spray painted a metal, geometric trash can that I found on clearance from Target... it was neon pink, and is now shiny and white.
If it was acceptable, I would spray paint everything I own... it's such a gratifying feeling to see the before & after. Happy spray painting season!
