Recently I came across the beautiful, cheerful work of Teil Duncan and immediately fell in love. Duncan lives in Charleston, South Carolina, and paints her surroundings - primarily focusing on beach scenes and abstract figure studies.
While most of her original paintings are sold out, there are a few original figure study paintings that went live on her website this morning, and there are a few prints in her online shop or at Furbish Studio. Judging by her blog, it looks as though she's busy restocking her shop and I can't wait to see her new paintings.
I'm noticing a trend in the artwork I've been drawn to lately... it's vibrant, colorful, and relatively abstract. It also features beachy, vacation scenes... I think I just want to surround myself with vacation vibes forever :)
While her beach scenes are beautiful and lighthearted, there's something really special about her figure study series, and how she's able to capture the female form.
What kind of art are you drawn to?
