a busy CLE...

Happy Friday, everybodyyyyyy! I hope you all had a great week. The summer weather is back (for now), and Cleveland is abuzz with a ridiculous amount of energy and excitement. Why, you might ask? Well, here are just a few things going on in our city this weekend...

GG9, or the 2014 Gay Games, kick of this weekend! It is so heartwarming to see all of the gay pride flags, posters, and homemade signs adorning our city. One drive down Clifton Boulevard  between the Shoreway and 117th, and you're sure to be smiling from ear to ear from all of the welcoming signage. Welcome, athletes!

The University of Akron is hosting a "Welcome Home LeBron" event tonight (Friday) that quickly sold out 30,000 free online tickets... I think we're eager to let him know we've officially forgiven. The event will highlight LeBron's community service efforts in Akron and his impact on the city as a whole.

The Cleveland Flea kicks off another big event this Saturday and I can't wait to go. We haven't been yet, and I know I'm missing out on some serious vintage treasures, great music, boozy sno-cones (!!), and an overall fun vibe. Hope to see you there!

AHA! Festival of Lights is going on now until Saturday night, and it is truly spectacular. Meant to "illuminate changes to our urban landscape" in Cleveland, AHA! features installations from several different artists throughout downtown CLE. Tonight is the East meets West Glow Ride, starting at 8pm, which is meant to unify the two sides of the city. West side riders start at Platform Beer & east side riders start at Sterle's. Happy riding!

Believe in CLE is hosting another event in conjunction with AHA! tonight (Friday) on Mall B. Is there anything cooler than nighttime yoga + glow sticks + light shows on the Lake Erie shore? I don't think so. Namaste (insert praying hands emoji here).

I'm pretty certain that no Clevelander will be bored this weekend! There's just SO MUCH to do. Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we're supposed to have and soak up the last few weeks of summer!
