Happy fall, y'all!
(No, I'm not Southern, I just really like to rhyme)
It's been a busy and productive week over here...
Tim and the team at Cardboard Helicopter have been prepping the launch of their Kickstarter campaign that will go live next week, and I'm lucky enough to be a (small) part of the project. I cannot wait for the launch to go live! Stay tuned for a more formal announcement...
Is anyone looking for a beautiful home in Strongsville with a community pool? It's a pool worth missing, let me tell you... please contact me if you're interested, and/or share with your friends. I want my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece to move closer to me! I'm a selfish aunt :)
Some of my favorite bloggers, YoungHouseLove, have taken a much-needed blogging time-out. While I'm SO, SO sad that they aren't posting genius interior design hacks anymore, I'm glad that they're taking the time they need to reevaluate and reboot. Other popular bloggers like Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge, Erin Loechner of Design for Mankind, and Mandi Gubler of Vintage Revivals weighed in on the issue of "blogger burnout" in this article in the New York Times. It seems like readers are becoming kind of ruthless lately, in my opinion, and forget that while sometimes blogging is a business, there is also a person behind that computer screen, busting their ass to produce inspiring, unique content. It makes me so sad to read the comments that tear bloggers' hard work (or even families!) apart. Bullying. Yuck.
I've been hustling and bustling to finish (for the time-being) our back entry/laundry room. There isn't one room in our house that I would say is finished yet, but that might be because I'm an annoying perfectionist that reads way too many design blogs and constantly wants to improve our house... maybe that's the reason; I just can't be sure ;) anyhow, I will be posting updates soon! A few sneak peeks here, here, and here.
Have a faaaabulous weekend, all!!
