Happy first day of Autumn, everyone! Are you all SO excited to wear your new fall goods, or am I the only one? As much as I'll miss the warm weather, I'm ready to welcome fall with open arms, lots of mums, and pumpkins. Bring on apple cider + pumpkin beer + pumpkin everything season!
This is my favorite time of year to cook and bake, so you can count on some pretty pumpkin-heavy recipes from here on out. In the meantime, I have another Color Profile today... fuchsia!
Fuchsia is one of my favorite colors, and also happens to be one of the few words I never spell correctly (why is it so hard to spell!?) The color is just SO good - vibrant, saturated, and so cheerful. I managed to incorporate fuchsia into a brand's color palette I was working on a few years back (THE CLIENT APPROVED IT!!!!!) and to say it was a minor victory is a serious understatement. I was really really pumped (and still am, ha... can you tell?).
I've been dying to incorporate this color into our home, but it's a tricky color to use if you're not living in a house full of ladies. Fuchsia, when used correctly, can be gender-neutral if it's balanced out properly with other masculine tones and textures. I don't think Tim would appreciate a fuchsia couch, so I'm countering with this awesome velvet chair - how gorgeous would it look with new mid-century tapered legs? Also, THOSE SHOES. Enjoy...
