As someone who loves expressing my personality through my clothing, I can wholeheartedly appreciate Reese Witherspoon's approach to her new lifestyle brand, Draper James, that launched back in May.

Inspired by her Southern roots, Reese named Draper James after her grandparents, Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon. The brand offers clothing, accessories and home goods, 70% of which are made in the U.S. and primarily in the South. The brand is meant to remind consumers of Southern charm and traditions, both old and new, and fully embraces - encourages, even - matching head to toe. Think 1950's-1960's polish with the comfort and practicality of today's fashion.

“One of our tenets is ‘unapologetically pretty.’ Like, what’s wrong with being pretty? That went out the window a long time ago,” the actress says with a laugh. “In the South, there’s a lot of color, prints, tradition, traditional fabrics like gingham, plaids, stripes. There’s also definitely a feeling that what you wear makes you feel better, especially if you’re wearing color, prints or joyful things.” - Reese Witherspoon via WWD

While the line is out of my day-to-day price range, it's not too far out of reach compared to a Tory Burch, Kate Spade, or another high-end, tailored line. I'd love to take a trip down South, donned head to toe in a magnolia print and a "Hey Ya'll" tote, sipping a mint julep... a girl can dream!
